The Probability of Winning in Craps

Like every other casino games, craps gives one a shot at winning the ultimate prize. Most of these games also require you to have a good grasp on basic mathematics in order to play it. This is especially useful for those people who play in the advance level and have their eyes set on the price and not merely for entertainment.

In some casino games like the black jack it’s possible to use the law of probability to win. When cards are dealt they get removed from the deck and in the case of automatic shufflers they are removed from play meaning you can predict the kind of card that will come up next seeing as you have already remove some from the picture. In craps the law of probability can’t be applied to increase your chance of winning as every move has no bearing on subsequent moves.

Some games work on the “law or averages” that states that for example if a ten was rolled, then a five, then a nine will result in a series of rolls that might somehow help you predict the next roll because its due. Crap games on the other hand, work on the principle of “independent trials” which means one move doesn’t have a bearing on the next move as each and every event is separate. Crap games operate on the phrase “the dice have no memory”, just because you rolled the dice and picked a 7 doesn’t mean that you won’t pick it the second time.

The best thing about crap games is that it doesn’t really matter where/when you enter the game or whether you are a veteran player or a beginner. Players also don’t have to work on any playing or betting techniques to give them an advantage over other players or worry about what other players are doing as they have no bearing on the game’s outcome.
